Fire - Wbaltv.com Posted: 09 Aug 2010 05:11 AM PDT POSTED: 8:15 am EDT August 9, 2010 URBANA, Md. -- A town house fire in Urbana has displaced at least four families and killed several pets.Frederick County Chief Fire Marshal Marc McNeal said officials received a call about a fire on the deck of a town house on Winthrop Lane at about 10 p.m. Sunday.A neighbor tried to put out the fire with a garden hose, but the blaze spread quickly to adjoining town houses.At least four families were displaced by the fire, and firefighters said several animals died.The fire was brought under control just before midnight.Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
